One time, when I met Bruce Cockburn for the very First time, he made me fill like a million dollars; in addition to learning a great lesson in wisdom.
I was waiting for Bruce for so long after one of his concerts. He finally appeared and came though the door and greeted me by saying,"hey, are you jim Barile."
It made me feel so great !!!
He told me that he got my cd earlier and thanked me for it.
I guess the great lesson of wisdom here is:
Sometimes the greatest way that an individual can give to another is to make enough or some room to allow that person to give back to you.
By doing so, you put the individual that you are making room for in a position to feel valued and important; as opposed to feeling less than or even perhaps patronized.
