The Happy Holiday Benefit for Donn Stephens
Silent Auction Items Needed
A good friend to our community, Donn Stephens, is currently receiving treatment for prostate cancer. To help defray medical expenses and cover lost wages, a benefit is being held in Donn's honor on December 13th from 3-9 p.m. at the Springfield High School Commons. The event will have non-stop entertainment featuring groups and individuals from throughout Central Illinois, a virtual extravaganza of local talent. Food, a 50-50 raffle, a silent auction and many other activities will provide a day of fun and thrills for all that attend.
Donn went to both elementary and high school in Springfield. He has served as Pastor at several churches and today is a visiting pastor and featured musical artist throughout our community. Donn has lent his musical and acting talents to many music and theatre venues in our area. He has dedicated years to teaching music in our public schools. He has reached out and given much to our community touching many lives in the process. Now is our chance to give back to a man who has given so much of himself to us.
One of the featured events at the Happy Holiday Benefit for Donn Stephens will be a Silent Auction. Please consider making a donation towards this worthy effort. Businesses, groups, and individual contributions are warmly accepted and encouraged. Realize your contribution will be recognized in a variety of print material and audio announcements to a huge contingency of Springfield Public School District # 186 students, parents, and staff along with a cornucopia of performers from the Music and Theatre Community. Additionally, a large showing of the faithful from a variety of Church Affiliations are expected to be in attendance.
