Received this on an ATHE listserve, and thought I'd share it w/ the theatre community:
Dear Colleagues,
I am offering a two-week summer abroad course at the *Edinburgh Fringe Theatre *in August again this year, and looking for an additional 8 students. Could you please help me get the word out by talking to your students or emailing this to your department theatre majors list? The informational website is at www.edinburghfestivalcourse.com.
The first week of the seminar again focuses on contemporary political and international drama, but the second week is open to research projects in any area (musical, dance, cabaret, comedy, etc.)
This year the class is $600.00 cheaper than last year's successful pilot course, and the exchange rate the best in years. The total cost of the 3-6 credit course, not including meals and airfare, is $2800.
Despite the economy, this may be a good year for student travel.
The priority deadline for applications is March 15, but we will keep applications open until the class is filled. Out of state students pay no more for the course than instate students in the summer, and students in any major can apply.
Thanks so much for your help.
