Having Steve for a friend was a privilege. A fine actor, a gifted teacher and one of the funniest people I've ever known. He was a joy to be in a show with (McCoy could have mentioned his Snoopy, which he did with me and Laurie McCoy), or numerous other shows.
A great guy, I feel so badly for Mel and the kids.
