If you haven't heard them...let ME tell you!
“Rumors,” which opened last weekend at Corn Stock Theatre (has one Amy W in the cast), begins with a gunshot and plunges headlong into farce.
The show runs at 7:30 p.m. Friday through June 27 at the Corn Stock tent in upper Bradley Park - Peoria.
This Neil Simon play takes place at the upscale townhouse of New York’s deputy mayor, who has shot himself moments before a dinner party celebrating his 10th anniversary is about to begin.
It’s only a flesh wound, however, and the subsequent attempts by his friend and lawyer to keep it secret leads to lies, miscommunications, fabrications and an ever-more entangled plot.
It is well worth the drive to go see it (even with one character overacting - not our Amy though).
What a great venue...the lighting and set is unbelievable...a 3-story set.
