Springfield, IL - Theatre in the Park announces an early audition date for the 'musical comedy with a country flair,' "Cowgirls", which opens the TIP season on June 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 2010.
"The talents required by the individual female actors in this show are two-fold and will require more rehearsal than usual. Actors may need to practice the music and instruments on their own during the winter months before rehearsals start in April," states co-directors Don Russell and Kate Rossi. "Not only do the actresses have to sing and dance, but they need to be gifted musicians as well."

The show requires six actresses who must audition by playing one of the main instruments listed, and singing one of the songs from the score. Please bring your own instrument. A piano is provided. Sheet music is available by contacting info@theatreinthepark.net.
