With only two weeks to the start of the season we need to make sure that we are as near to match fitness as we possibly can be, especially as other teams in our league will have already played 4/5 games. On Saturday there were only 4 people at training. We don't want lack of fitness to cost us points at the start of this campaign. I appreciate people have commitments but I would like to ask everyone to make as much effort as possible to attend sessions over the next two weeks.
I personally won't be around over next few weeks as I'm going for knee operation on Tuesday. Paddy, Parky and Paul will be looking after things in the mean time. Hopefully there will be training/matches on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays until the league kicks off. That only leaves 5 sessions before the first league match. I'm sure you'll agree we need to make the most of them.
There is obviously a friendly on Tuesday and hopefully there will be a Thursday session organised after that.
PS Anyone is welcome to attend training sessions if they feel they need a work out. Don't want to exclude other club members. However, the likelihood is other teams are playing league matches.
