Due to the limited numbers available at complete football (30?) and the explicit request of both first and reserve team management that all players attend (31 in total?), the A team have decided that they will begin their training at westmoor community 5 aside.
Let me be clear; this is not to form a seperate faction or training session (far from it); this is to ensure that all A team players have an opportunity to train in spite of limited places at complete football. It is disappointing for me to see that only 12 players from the top two squads turned up; and the A (and B) team can not be expected to fill places on an ad-hoc basis.
Hypothetically; if all teams had turned up and we had say 40 people there what would have happened? This is why we have taken the temporary decision to train alone. If in future weeks it is clear that you are short of approximately 10 players, I believe I speak for all the A's in saying that we would like to take up the opportunity of training at this venue.
With this being the situation I believe the A team have no choice but to wait it out until such time as the 1st and reserves establish their regular training attendees.
I hope and appreciate the understanding of all concerned, in particular Phil, Trigger, Cav, Merv, Parky and Lawsy.
