We have arranged for the Reserve, A and B team's to have an internal friendly against each other on Wed evening (15th July). This will replace training on that night. The 1st team however will train as normal at Benson Park. The main objective of this exercise is to see the 'new faces' play and also to start the process of picking squads. It is therefore important that everyone attends.
The friendly will take place at George Stephenson High School on grass. The school is in Killingworth. We plan to meet at 6.30/6.45 and to get started at 7pm - Please be prompt. Team managers will hopefully be in touch with their respective players to ask if you can play. More info will be given out at Saturdays and Mondays training session.
To get to George Stephenson H.S (NE12 6SA) in Killingworth you can type it into google maps (It comes up as point B). Rough directions from Newcastle are:
1) Continue out of Newcastle on Benton Road with Four Lane Ends Metro station on your right. Think its the A188.
2) Continue for 1.5 miles to big r/about where Findus Factory is (on left).
3) Take right turn at this r/about into Westmoor and continue to another mini r/about.
4) Turn right here and go through ped. crossing to another r/about.
5) Turn left here. Straight on at next r/about and continue past Killingworth Lakes and the Lakeside Leisure Centre.
6) At next big r/about turn right and straight over next small r/about.
7) Entrance to school on right. Follow road all the way to the end (through green gates), past the main block of the school. PE dept at very bottom of the road.
