Chair of Selectors
Last night we picked the squads.
Parky will be posting them tomorrow everning after training.
It was harder than previous years as the talent and commitment higher than for some time.
Some of you will be disappointed and justifiably so but everyone has to accept that respecting the decisions of the managers are a big part of playing for our club.
Please remember that it is a long season and that the performances of every player in every squad will be regularly reviewed. While it is hoped that by going with squads of 16+ there will be little movement between squads on a weekly basis there will still be opportunities to be moved up or down squads on a long term basis.
Please talk to JP, Parky (til Merv's return), Mark or Jack if you wish clarification on the reason why you are in a particular squad.
I think we have had the best pre-season ever and all squads will be well prepared for the challenges ahead so a big thank you to all those who have been so committed but especially JP for the quality of his training sessions.
