Dear All,
As per Paddy’s e-mail of yesterday and following the Managers’ meeting on Monday evening I provide the squads for the forthcoming season. There will be a number of back-up players that will be added to support these squads, however these have not been added to the lists below at this stage.
To reiterate Paddy’s comments, selecting the squads has been harder than previous years given the level of talent, application and commitment from a large number of players. Whilst a number of players may be disappointed the club is keen to ensure that every player representing the club has the opportunity to play on a regular basis. As the standard across ALL teams has improved for the forthcoming season, players now representing a lower team should not see this as a negative step but an opportunity to play in a competitive and committed team.
Every squad will be regularly reviewed and there will no doubt be opportunities for some players to move between squads during the course of the season. If you would like to discuss your squad allocation then please do so with respective team managers (JP, Merv, Mark and Jack).
All the best for the season ahead and thank you for your hard work during pre-season. Every member of this club is valued so which ever team you are representing this season please give it your all and enjoy your football,
