Well, Cap'n Paul's top two rules are - #1, only bring a gym/duffel bag and #2, do not check a bag. He will make you solemnly swear to this if he hasn't already. ha, ha!
With that in mind, you'll want something that is carry-on size. You can check your airline's website for specs on what is/is not allowed. This is the bag I used:

I got it at a local luggage store though, not online.
Now, I'm not going to lie and say that is the ONLY bag I had...I also ended up bringing a smaller duffel, but I did over pack a bit. I did carry everything on though 'cause the last thing you want is an "I told you so" from Cap'n Paul!!!
BTW, packing liquids for a week was a challenge for me. I finally gave up on squeezing sunscreen into my quart sized bag and just got some when I got there. Shops at most stops are fairly well stocked, so bring the things you absolutely must have from home, but consider buying more generic liquids once you get there. There is a shop on site at the Moorings marina...not sure about the other one though.
