I was just dx'd with lymphedema. I had a weird pulling sensation on the inside of my arm for a couple of weeks. My bi-lat mast was almost 3 years ago and I had 37 nodes removed from the affected side. After having the pulling sensation I got a little scratch which didn't heal as quickly as it should. A few days later, my hand was swollen. So, I guess, if you have any cuts or scratches on that side, use antibiotic ointment immediately. That seems to be the only thing that started the lymphedema for me.
