The medical center I use has a PT team that is really on top of the lymphedema. Last summer I noticed an increase in puffiness in the arm, and went for massage twice weekly for about 3 weeks. I had just had abdominal surgery, so they could only do upper body, but the sessions were 45 minutes each. We made some additions to my self-massage, twice daily. I also was instructed in wrapping my hand and wrist at night, and when travelling on a plane.
