Has anyone had acupunture on their surgical arm?

I posted on the main board too. I am thinking of getting some acupuncturre for my back pain, but I am not sure it is OK to have needles on my surgury arm. I have not had problems with lymphedema, but I don't want to start now. Any thoughts?
