It takes a few days on antiobiotics. In May and June, the redness and pain came on so suddenly--no warning, just extreme pain in upper arm and redness almost immediately. The doctor said I could go to ER, but I really didn't want to do that. He put me on 2000 mg of Keflex daily for 10 days. It was very scary since I had gone through almost the same thing a month before. Anyway, work 5 days a week. Wish I could learn to use mouse with my other hand so I could keep my bad arm elevated. Sometimes it aches more than other times. Weather doesn't seem to affect arm. It always is very swollen, especially from elbow to shoulder. I've been advised not to use a pump.
