I was in hospital almost 5 days...received 4 IV's of rocepherin then was sent home with doxicycline...doubled over in pain yesterday am. Spoke w/infectious dz doc & she said to stay home, I was ready to go back to hospital, & take keflex which is much more tolerable. Arm is still very swollen, but not as hot as it's been. I was told swelling may persist, but bloodlabs show no infection at this time. I have been doing a lot of reading on your website, Pat. I'm trying warm compresses today because the ultrasound they used to check for blood clot, which was negative, showed bruise on muscle at top of my arm. Any other suggestions
