Nancy is correct in saying you need a physical therapist trained and specialized in lymphedema. I have been in and out of treatments several times in the past 5 years. I have been since May of this year and still am going. I am hoping to finish up by the end of this month. I have a new sleeve I wear during the day. I remove it for a couple of hours morning and night, do my message and put it back on. I have chest wall lymphedema and that is what has kept me going all summer for treatment. I spend 1 1/2 hours being massaged abdomen, chest and arm twice a week. I do it myself on the other days twice a day. It is a big committment and something that we will need to do the rest of our life!! You are on the right track drinking lots of water, watch salty foods, no salt is best and walking and/or rebounding is good as well. hugs, Sandy
