Posted by Carol H. This takes some getting used to, and because of its chronic nature and the effect it has on your day-to-day life, can seem worse than the cancer that caused it. Few people, that don't have it, understand it. Hang in there.

Hi, Nancy, I've had lymphedema for 13 years and been on Evista, I don't know, probably 11, and I have never noticed any connection between the use of the drug and the swelling. I was fortunate that early on I had access to MLD, and my arm has remained pretty stable. I have had cellulitis several times, hospitalized for IV antibiotics, but if I am careful about not getting scratched, my arm size stays the same unless I overwork it.
