Hi everybody. I had a mastectomy, sentinal node and radiation 5 years ago and have managed to avoid swelling by being real careful and lucky. Now I have cancer in the other breast, and my question is ,what do I do now about BPs and needles? Is it better to have them in the more healed side, or on the side that hasn't had rads yet? I'm confused and worried. Had a sentinal on the new side two days ago,and have to go in for a muga on friday-where should they stick me? I'm due for another mastectomy, chemo etc-I sure would like to avoid lymphedema-any advice?
