Sharon .... you must not put off seeking treatment for your lymphedema. This is a lifelong problem now but it can be treated. Get in touch with a Physical Therapy Dept. and consult a therapist that has been specially trained in treating lymphedema. Believe me, the longer you let this go the worse it will become. PLEASE seek treatment as soon as possible.
