My trip was cancelled as my dad had a UT infection and now severe dementia (apparently not from UT)- so went from hosp. to a nursing home. It has been awful.
So---- decided I needed a break and going to fly to San Francisco this Fri for 4 days. I am SOOOOOO excited to just get away and not feel I have to be with my dad. It has been a long ordeal since Nov.
ANYWAY- said screw it and bought my own sleeve and glove yesterday. Had a "fitter" fit me so should be OK. I will just feel better wearing one. See oncs nurse practioner today for check up- gonna ask her why they say I don't need one.
The 2 fitters I went to both said doctors do not understand and you should always play it safe. They have seen so many of you with lymph. that they say it just does not make sense to NOT wear one for preventative reasons.
