sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I know of people who fly and take no precautions and so far haven't had a problem. I also know of one person in particular that 17 yrs. post-op and had never had a LE problem but did after one flight. I always advise that a compression sleeve be worn during the flight and for an hour or so after landing. It's a personal decision I suppose but I am not much of a gambler and would always take some precaution.
