Thanks for this. I was told they do not make gloves small enough and that since I do things with this hand, I should get the finger cots instead. Either would work I guess, if they fit. Not just for the infected finger--to prevent fingers from getting infected to begin with.
No latex allergy. I do not know about Aquafor--I'll ask. I go back on Weds.
Have a dermatologist on team who cannot see me before April, working to get this moved up as I was supposed to see them prior to surgery and surgeon said she moved it to consult only which has screwed me up--I'm furious about this, but continue to battle to get in.
Infectious disease specialist saw me prior to surgery and ordered--no antibiotics (period) because of my reactions--no alternative has ever been found for me. Like clockwork, 2 wks after I end up with all of these weird reactions--I did after the mastectomy, yet no one had used an antibiotic--we think we've traced it to a home health nurse who must have cleaned her hands with an antibacterial hand sanitizer before touching me. My affected arm got a rash, then I got a UTI, then I had a sun-sensitivity reaction--I'm still trying to clean up from all of this. Thanks for the support. Wish I knew what else to do!
