That all sounds like a recipe for super stress -- I'm really sorry! Geesh! If anybody needs to see a dermatologist on a regular basis, it's you, and here you are battling for an appointment. April is a bit "out there"!

HomeDepot has child-sizes in work gloves that would certainly protect your fingers from most everything. Maybe buy several pairs so you can wash them often. Isotoner gloves come in small sizes too and add some compression as well as protection. See what your therapist says about those possibilities.
Sure hope your current finger problem heals promptly and that you can find the protections you need to stay well and regain some control of your life.
