Thanks for all of this Cassie, I'm passing it along to my LE therapist. She ordered me a glove in the varin soft also, but we wanted to see the gauntlet work first as I type during the day for work, but I will have to fly quite often w/ my job.
My LE therapist met w/ another sleeve rep today who agreed to do a circular weave in a custom fit, this was the issue, in the custom they were not able to do the circular weave for whatever reason, but now its happening. We'll try this before moving on. But, I'm sending all this info on to her and will insist if this does not work, that we go a different route--yours.
No, I do nothing at night now, other than the temporary sleeve I have and then every few nights I need to leave it off as my skin starts to break down. Good to know what you've found that works so I have some place to start w/ at least.
Today was a set back--yesterday the LE therapist told me that she did not think my issue would be the gradient, but rather that what I got was not what we ordered. To help me understand what it would be like, she put one temporary sleeve over the other. This made a total gradient of between 10 and 16. It was fine yesterday and overnight--I didn't have anyone to help me get it off so it stayed on. I woke up in the morning w/ negligible pain from the cording from surgery which was a pleasant shock. I went to work and noticed increasing tendon pain in my left thumb which when noticed in the past was described as tendonitis (actually desquervain's due to placement) because I'm putting too much weight on it. This is exactly what happened to my right hand that then ended up w/ two bones on the top of the hand w/ hairline fractures and the desquervain's down the thumb, we've been watching this so it does not get worse--well then today . . .I noticed swelling along the thumb and inside on the palm and then on the fingers. LE therapist was called, she had me take both sleeves off--cording beginning to come back, swelling subsiding some, but still there.
Now I'm more scared that I won't be able to do the sleeve--I want to be able to fly again!!! Never mind, I want to be able to get to the point where I can open my apt. or fridge door!!!

Sorry for the rant! Just EXASPERATED! BC is one thing, but lymphedema is another altogether!
