I suggest you move somewhere first and THEN try and get a band together. You expect people to just pick up and follow you whereever you go but they have to know you first. If you are so concious about your image and your talent, then why don't you establish yourself somewhere first and then fing the musicians and band at the location? There are many people out there like you who think they are so good and great and have lots of hopes and dreams and then find out is ain't as easy as you think, no matter what your talent level or looks are. I would say keep your confidence but tone down your cocky attitude and be little more sincere. You aren't the only one who has the looks and talent, you have to earn your way through it all. Maybe if you have a little more humility, you will find the people you need to trust you and your talent.
: I'm a 29 year old Pro Country Singer/Songwiter
: and am looking for a rock out contemporary
: country band. I currently live in NYC where
: there is NO country music. I've been trying
: to put together a band here but have had no
: luck in finding the right musicians. I've
: got my sights set on Nashville but I would
: rather find the right band, anywhere in the
: U.S., who is looking to make music their
: life and career. Since there are very few
: opportunites to build an audience here in NY
: I would like to get out there with a band
: and start building a fan base before making
: that move to Nashville. And that's not to
: say that I'm looking for a band to use and
: then loose. I want to find a dedicated, hard
: working group of people to take this journey
: with. I love the collaborative process when
: creating new music. And I love being on
: stage with a group of people that you can
: trust and count on. I'm 29 years old and
: very image conscious. So I'm looking for
: others in that age range who are also
: concerned with their image. Let's face
: it....it ain't just about the music anymore.
: You've got to look good!
: I know it's going to be hard to find the
: right group so I'm opening myself up to any
: and all areas of the U.S. Location is not as
: important as finding the right group of
: people. I would prefer to find a currently
: gigging band but I'm willing to consider a
: startup if the right mix of people are on
: board. I've got a number of songs written
: and ready to go and I'm happy to supply a
: demo if interested. However I will not
: submit a demo to anyone who doesn't have
: something for me to listen to as well. If
: you haven't recorded anything, then you're
: probably not playing at the level I'm
: looking to be at. The recording doesn't
: necessarily have to be from the current
: project but you should have some experience
: in a studio that I can listen to. Other than
: that, I'm a low key, good guy who just loves
: music and the process of creating it. If you
: think you fit the bill, hit me back and lets
: talk. Hope to hear from ya'll.
