Singer available near Schaumburg, IL

28yr old male singer/lyricist in Streamwood/Schaumburg area
Looking for guitarist or band to jam with and write original melodic rock tunes. Don't have the voice for heavy metal, don't like country, and not really into emo.
Influences: Pete Yorn, DMB, Gin Blossoms, Counting Crows, Pearl Jam, just to name a few.
I've got an Alesis Multimix Mixer which I record off of into my computer using Cubase software. Good for song writing purposes.
