41-year old bassist/singer with 25+ years’ experience seeks two like-minded Bloomington-Normal, Illinois area guitarists and a drummer to play all the cool stuff from the early rock era — Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Young Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Gene Vincent, Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, and many others from the mid-50s to early-60s.
Rehearsals in my basement once a week with gigs 6-10 times per year. There’s no huge time commitment, no touring, and no searching for a record deal. So, it’s the perfect opportunity for guys with wives, families, and careers, who would still like to play great songs for an audience once in a while.
You don’t need a rack of effects or the latest high priced gear either. Just your guitar and amp or drum set — tube amps and real drums would be nice though — plus a bit of talent and the dedication to practice and learn your parts.
