Hi. My name is Simon Webb. I am the middle school music teacher at Peoria Adademy. One of the ensembles I am in charge of is what they call "rock band" or "school of rock." The rock band consists of 7 middle school students (5th to 8th) grade, and they play saxophone, guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and keys. My post is that they are working on putting a set together. As an experienced player here in Peoria and around the area, I want to show them all what it takes to be in bands and working together.
I am trying to find some places that their age group would be able to play. I have a few coffee houses in mind and maybe one or two of the local open stages/mic nights. I was just wondering if anyone on here had any suggestions for me. These are great kids and really i've been surprised at the amount of talent in this small group.
