Basically, there are two groups of plants. One is BOP (Buick-Oldsmobile and Pontiac). Those plants assembled multiple car lines and sometimes included Chevrolets. These plants only used some RPO codes to display options on the tag.
The other group is the Fisher body plants that only built Chevrolets. They used the Fisher Body option codes, which included 4D for SS427 in 67.
Those plants include:
Los Angeles, CA
Janesville, WI
Tarrytown, NY
Lordstown, OH
St Louis, MO
Flint, MI
