Like Sluggo says, Doraville did not use option codes. What I meant was, IF you have a car that DOES use option codes, I would doubt its legitimacy as a Z24 without the 4D, thats why I asked what plant. After hearing now what plant and its history from the original owner it sure sounds legit to me. Congrats on getting some documentation.Having an authentic protecto plate and window sticker would do it for me.You probably already asked but try to get some pictures of the car from the original owner.
My 67 was in a one stall garage since 1971 till I bought it about 18 years ago. The guy I bought it from in California video taped the car coming out of that garage. It took them 4 hours to get the car out of that garage.Need to find a way to get it on Utube from a VHS tape ? Any ideas ?
Sounds like you will Do it right, take your time, it will be worth it in the end, but most of all, just have FUN with the car.
I finally got charged up again about my 67 and am going over a lot of the car again fixing things I over looked when I rushed putting the car together.Never again will I try to put a car together in 2 months, it took 15 more years just to get back into the car after suffering BURNOUT from the first time putting it together.
