I'm wondering what some of you guys with L72's are currently using for spark plugs, and what plugs you've had the best luck with performance wise.
The OEM plug for both the L72 and L36 is the old non-resistor type AC-43N, but I've been using modern AC-R44XLS plugs for a while now with better results and greater life span. (Gapped at .035, indexed as close to the exhaust valves as possible without using plug spacers, and using 8mm wires w/ an MSD 6AL). These are slightly hotter than the OEM spec 43N's, and tend to last longer, but I would still like to get more life out of a set.
Does anyone have any other advise/input on a better plug? I'm not overly concerned with originality down to the spark plug level, but would like to stay with AC's unless there is something far superior out there.
