The shape of the '68 is different than the '67. 4 speed consoles have a totally different shape to work around the manual shifter than the automatic. '67 was the last year of having bright aluminum trim where '68 does not have it. '68's have a slider cover around the shifter and '67 have a traditional boot. locking compartment covers have different shapes too.

Steering boxes are the same. '70 they finally switched to 3 turns lock to lock. I'm not a fan of 5 turns lock to lock.
