Both different. Ash trays are very hard to find for Auto... the 4 speed is totally different and much harder to find. I'd say everything was revised in '68 though they look similar from a distance.
Also, the '67's have a hard linkage and the '68's have cable linkage for automatics (a cable binding historically made '68 SS427 lose to a Toronado at Pikes Peak that year).
Yes '70 has a three turns lock to lock, the casting is the same.
I'm not sure about '71 since that is a different generation than the '65-'70 B body family.
