Isn't this toy a clone?

I am sure this is the one I saw at Mecum in 2005 with the gills on backwards and a multitude of other incorrect items. I hope I am wrong because if this is that car, what a disgrace to see it chosen as the "model" car for the SS427s. Especially since I gave these guys a laundry list of real 1968s that I thought would be awesome cars to model.
