Jim,
The polyurethane bushings really tighten up the suspension. They are around 85 Durometer, while stock rubber is around 55-65 duro. A rubber band is maybe 30 duro.
I really like the feel of the urethane, but they squeak and creak.....unless they are the Poly Graphite variety, or can be greased with silicone grease or synthetic grease. All I ever installed came with a silicone assembly lube, I drilled and tapped the bushing cans for Zerk fittings so the bushings can be greased now and then. I use a synthetic grease.
Overall, if the squeak doesn't scare you away, I think you would like the firm feel the poly bushings offer.
