Thanks in part to Jon K. and Fossil Fuel, I was able to locate the `68 Back Glass I was looking for for my Sport Coupe. I found this through Auto City Classics in MN, at autocityclassic.com.
I never thought this Back Glass would be as hard as it was to find, because I know it was readily available from certain suppliers just a few years ago. You can still find repro winshields, and most side glass for `68's from multiple suppliers, but the Back Glass - not so much!
I can tell you it wasn't cheap, but when you need it, you need it. Also, beware of the cheap off-shore garbage that you'll find on eBay. You'll be throwing your money away in most cases. Auto City Classics sells actual PPG/GM licensed products.
With regard to date coding, this is an additional service they'll provide for an extra $125 on most of the glass they sell. This includes stamping the glass with the correct PPG/LOF part numbers and date codes for your application. That's a nice touch if you're going for a concours restoration, but I elected to pass on that this time. I'm just happy to have found the glass at all at this point!
