Sorry to be so late in answering Keith's and Arden's e-mail. Been really busy this week at work and was ill the first part of the week. Got the starter off of the SS427 and was told the solenoid was junk and the armature needed to be turned. Bought a heat shield for the starter. It didn't come with one, but most sources tell me to run one, which I shall. While I was cleaning up the underneath of the car, figured I might as check the fluids after the aborted mission to Charlotte. Couldn't believe my eyes! The radiator looked totally dry. The radiator cap looked good and it is original. Had it pressure checked today to only find out it wouldn't hold any pressure. It is supposed to hold 15lbs! Might that be the reason my temp gauge started to rise just before the car quit running. Well, may be next year, depending on where the convention is hosted.
