Jim what is the build date of your car?
Here is a photo of the door structure. The cuts were done with snips and a torch to expand the original smaller hole. I believe the correct switches have the vacuum ports straight out the back. These type have a 90° angle that would appear to be the reason why they cut the door. Would be interesting to know the protocol for this since this would have been done before paint and assembly.
