I can hoestly say I've never seen anything like that before on a Cowl Tag. This appears to be "hand labled" in some way. Are those characters stamped into the tag, or does it look like they've been written on there?
The rivets also look non-original - especially with the big glob of putty over the right side. Do you have any other documentation for the car?
