Looking in the `68 Assy' Manual, I show the Muncie Shifter Lever called out as UPC M20/M21/M22 on sheet A3 on page #403. This indicates Lever p.n. 3924463 for "307" & L30 use, with p.n. 3924460 for L35, L36, & L72 use. The upper and lower Shifter Knobs are called out as 3920216 & 3920218 respectively for both applications.
It does however appear that all of this is intended for use with a floor console car. It makes no mention (that I can find) of a bench seat shifter application.
