This subject on the handles for the 68/9 cars has been discussed MANY, MANY times. I had published pictures of both handles several years ago. Neither has, nor ever did have, part numbers stamped on or into them. Only the Chevelle handles had part numbers stamped into them. The Impala bench and bucket handles are nearly identical with one being about 3/4" to 1" taller than the other, that's it. The bench seat handle does not have a big loop in them the way the Chevelle one does.
In addition, George asked about part numbers stamped in to the shifters over at another site as well, but in the 65-6 forum, so this whole thing is getting off track. The bottom line is that there are no part numbers stamped into the shifters nor the bodies on the Impala shifters.
