Well sometimes things just work out that way. I didn't lose a race all weekend. The closest run was against a 1972? 455 cu in Buick Grand Sport. I also beat a couple of other big blocks that weekend. The shootout was against a 1969 Hemi Automatic Charger 500. His low 14's couldn't compete with my 13.70s so I spanked him 2 out of 2 runs. Good thing a couple of weeks later Dave Dudick put a serious tune on that Hemi and it was running 13.40s at Lebanon Valley NY. My little 327 would not have had much of a chance against him that weekend. My best ever is 13.62 at Atco NJ last November.
