Friend had a lawn tractor he couldn't get running and told me it was mine if I wanted to haul it off. It's a Murry hydraulic drive w/ 2cyl B&S engine. Found several engine operational issues, first was the fuel filter w/check valve ... arrow was pointing towards the tank! LOL Mud wasp plugged the other end of the fuel hose. Figured I clean the carb since I had it all opened up, found some really cool looking green goo in it - no idea what it was but it took a couple hours of soaking in acetone to remove it all. Starter wouldn't run, found the key switch was bad, opened it up and cleaned the crud off the contacts, works perfectly. I didn't get the fuel tank back on yet but pouring a little gas in the carb she fired off and ran perfectly.
Now for the problem.... two of the three mower blade hubs are wiped out as in to the point they are super sloppy. I have the bolts soaking in penetrating oil but for the amount of slop, I'm thinking the whole hub is shot not just the bushings/bearings. Questions are, is it worth fixing and if so, where to get parts?
