Finally got ahold my buddy Dave in Atlanta this morning - he's been a Jeep factory guy for like 27 years. Interesting note is that Jeeps with A/C must have a fan shroud while the same Jeep w/o A/C do not need a fan shroud! Since someone replaced the OEM rad with a bigger one, I've got my junk yard buddy bringing me an assortment of shrouds tomorrow. I'll let y'all know what happens.
BTW, T-stat is a 170°F and according to Dave, it's normal for the engine to run 15-25°F above T-stat while under load.
