Shouldn't be a big problem, rule of thumb on cast iron is if there is machining done already on the casting it can be cut or machined.
Cast iron is messy though. Tends to make powder not chips. I usually machine dry or maybe a little wd40. The torch master Mark may have something else that will work better.
