10-4 on what Ray said - just be sure not to cut off structural supports - when strength is needed, more iron is added. Forget the torch, unless you have a high-pressure blow-pipe style, you ain't torching it. Automotive CI cuts very easy, you'll be amazed at how fast it'll come off with a bastard mill rasp.
