the bird that is. She/he/it comes over to the fence and dances around a bit then flopps on her belly and crawls up close to the fence to get petted. If it wasn't for Mary, it would have been grilled long ago but after seeing a few blood trails leading out of her pen - I think she's worth keeping around because the yotes & coons won't make it trying to get in the back of the chicken pen - the 2,500 volt electric fence covers the other three sides but it's not as effective as the 1000 ft lbs of impact from those emu feet.
