Ok Here goes this is the first post here ever.
The test set that you had in your hand should work all over the USA for a long time to come.
I have one my self did you know that they used to come with what is called a orange stick. One end had a divet and the other was a point. The guys also used thease as a spugger or a pick on the old 66 blocks. They were made of wood or a roller paper for many years.
After working with ATT and Qwest for years I have learned that there are many people out there that have the old Rotery dial phone that just don't want to get rid of them. ( My Father For one.)
I had to fix his ringer just last month he loves that old yellow phone.
